FlipMyStay – Terms of Service

These Terms apply to consumers using our post-booking price-watch service. By sending us your booking to save@flipmystay.com, you agree to these Terms.
1) What we do
FlipMyStay monitors hotel bookings after you've booked. You forward your hotel confirmation email to save@flipmystay.com. We parse essential details and we monitor for a cheaper like-for-like rate. When we find a better rate, we will let you know by replying to your email.
2) Eligibility & scope
- You are 18+ and using the service as a consumer (not on behalf of a business)
- You are the booker or have authority to act on the booking holder's behalf
- Service currently covers hotel stays and similar accommodation only
- FlipMyStay is in beta; features may change and availability may be limited
3) How the service works
- Forward your booking to save@flipmystay.com
- We parse the content of your booking and we confirm the monitoring has started
- We compare rates and email alerts when we find a qualifying price, letting you know how to rebook your stay
We may decline or stop a watch to prevent abuse or for technical/legal reasons.
4) Our guardrails
We alert you only if the following are met:
- Like-for-like: same property; same room type/category; same board/meal plan; same occupancy; materially similar booking conditions
- Cancellation window: same or more flexible than your original booking
- Saving threshold: at least £20 or 5% cheaper on total stay cost (whichever is higher)
Saving means the difference between your original total price incl. taxes/fees and the like-for-like total we can secure. Where needed, we convert currencies using reputable FX sources at the comparison time.
5) Your responsibilities
- Ensure the booking details you forward are accurate and that you have the rights to share them
- Read and comply with the third-party terms for any new booking (hotel, bedbank, OTA). Those terms govern the new reservation
- Act promptly on our alerts and cancel your original booking in time
- Do not send us payment card images or sensitive documents; do not misuse the service (see Section 8)
6) Fees & how we make money
- During beta our service to consumers is free. We may receive affiliate/partner commissions from some providers; this does not increase the price you pay
7) Third-party providers & role
- We compare and may book through independent third-party providers (bedbanks, OTAs, hotel chains). They are responsible for their sites, prices and availability
- Any new booking you make is a contract between you and the third-party provider/hotel (the merchant of record). Their terms and privacy policy apply
- We act as your agent to search and, where authorised, to instruct a booking via a provider
8) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse cancellation windows or repeatedly book/cancel purely to obtain benefits not intended by providers
- Scrape or attempt to reverse-engineer our service or the rates of partners
- Send unlawful, infringing, or misleading content; upload or forward payment card images or other sensitive information
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site or related systems, or attempt unauthorised access
We may suspend or end your access for breach or suspected abuse.
9) Intellectual property
The FlipMyStay name, logos, and the Site are protected by IP laws. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works except as permitted by law.
10) Privacy & cookies
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy form part of these Terms and explain how we process your data and how cookies/consent work.
11) Disclaimers & limits
- Prices and availability are dynamic and can change at any time; we do not guarantee savings or that any rate will remain available
- We do not control third-party providers, their accuracy, or their acts/omissions
- Except for liabilities that cannot be limited by law (e.g., fraud; death or personal injury caused by negligence), we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to £100
12) Changes to the service and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue features (especially during beta). We may update these Terms; the new version will be posted with an effective date. For material changes, we will notify you by email.
13) Termination
A watch ends when the stay's check-out date passes or when you cancel the watch. We may end a watch or your access where required by law, for abuse, or to protect users or partners.
14) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer protections where you live still apply.

16) Definitions
- Like-for-like — same hotel; same room category (or better); same bed configuration where specified; same board/meal plan; same dates; same or more flexible cancellation window; materially similar booking conditions
- Saving — the difference between your original total price (incl. taxes/fees) and the total price of the like-for-like booking we can secure, converted using reputable FX sources where needed
- Booking partner / provider — a third party (e.g., OTA, bedbank, hotel group) through whom a booking is checked or made
